Channice Tembe is Love The Oceans 2026 Intern and a final student in Marine, Aquatic, and Coastal Biology at Eduardo Mondlane University. She’s experienced in marine and coastal conservation, mangrove restoration, ecological research, environmental education, and ocean literacy. Over the past two years, she has been actively involved in mangrove restoration and monitoring, ecological data collection and analysis, community training and environmental outreach, as well as conservation initiatives, including beach and mangrove clean-up activities. These experiences have strengthened her practical knowledge of coastal ecosystems and deepened her commitment to their protection and sustainable management. Channice has a particular interest in environmental education and ocean literacy for children. She believes that fostering knowledge, respect, and care for the oceans and the environment from an early age is essential to inspiring future generations to become responsible guardians of our planet.
